Josh started at Western States Multifamily in 2007 as a research assistant. Over the years, he became a trainee appraiser, a licensed appraiser, and is now a certified general appraiser in the state of Utah.
Josh graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Business Entrepreneurship. He has completed over 300 hours of appraisal education through the Appraisal Institute and McKissock.
He has worked on many types of multifamily projects including: market-rent, student housing, low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC), Section 8, USDA RD, new construction and condominium conversions. In addition to appraisals, Josh has completed many market studies and rent comparability studies.
Josh is a Candidate for Designation in the Appraisal Institute.
Josh is a student in the University of Utah’s Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program and expects to graduate December 2017. He participated two times in the Utah Real Estate Challenge, and received an Honorable Mention in 2017.
When he is not working, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife and four boys, swimming, hiking, and making homemade cheese.
